Okay so to add to this set up death to a Honda issue. Becuase I too have been suffering this plaque. Long and short: First time this happened a local oil change place put 10w40 in my Element. Within a mile of the shop it blew P2646 code. Took it to my mechanic, he did a oil test and thats how I know what was put in the car.

I took an oil pressure gauge and installed it in the port for my oil pressure light in the dash. I found I have 45 psi hot idle and over 90 psi at 2700 rpms this seems wrong to me.
VTEC solenoid valve located on rear right of cylinder head next to exhaust manifold and above oil filter. Disconnect VTEC solenoid valve and VTEC oil pressure switch connectors. Remove the three 10 mm hex head bolts from above.
