Hi everyone. I have a late 80s 88hp Evinrude SPL mounted on an OLD 15' Arrow Glass tri-hull fishing boat. I installed a tach and speedo and am a little disapointed with the readings. I am just barely getting 5000 rpms, if that, at WOT. With the engine not running and in forward gear I can turn the prop (although with considerable resistance) by hand. I hear what sounds like the rubber bushing rubbing on the thrust washer.
