The grenade is a OHKO at decent range and really tough to miss given the spread.

The pull from an overcharged grenade is powerful and ensures you get atleast 1 kill to proc devour. Pve definitly vortex because it can proc the exotic perk twice over the duration. You can also make wells twice because the vortex grenades duration is longer than the internal cooldown of the well mods. Vortex is king.
